Foreign stocks soar in value by 184%

BAGHDAD, Feb. 18 (AKnews) - The volume of trading in foreign stocks in Iraq during 2011 soared in value by 184% to $151.6m (176.5bn IQD) from $53.9m (62.8bn IQD) in 2010.

The announcement from the Iraqi Stock Exchange on Thursday was followed by the Securities Commission's disclosure that the trading index in 2011 was at 136.03 points during 2011, while it was around 100.98 points in 2010.
