But from what I saw of it, it seems more like they invested with a man that stated it had a guaranteed return, which should have made them cautious, and it didnt sound like they actually had possession of any dinar - everything was just an investment through some guy from Idaho.

Ah! I think the point in this video is that he was telling people it "would" be guaranteed. Good chance if he would have been registered with the right authorities as a legit business and made promises on buying back the dinar like a few dealers I know will do, then he would probably still be in business ---IMO---. Ali's site and Safe Dinar will buy your dinar back as of right now, but at the current buy-back rate they give you. Just like if you call Bank of Texas dowtown office in Houston, they will sell you dinar and buy it back as long as you have an account with them.

I think the biggest problem was refusing to cash people out of the investment. The people in the 'investment' werent given their portion of the dinar purchased in this pool so they were unable to cash out themselves.
