    Maliki assesses security readiness for poll

    Armed Forces General Commander Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki visited checkpoints in Baghdad to assess security forces readiness ahead of parliamentary elections.
    After Iraqi officers and soldiers briefed Prime Minister Al Maliki about their proposals to boost up security, Al Maliki praised security forces efforts to ensure stability.
    All citizens and officials should be subject to search, Al Maliki stressed noting that security forces are greatly responsible for protecting people from potential terrorist attacks.
    Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki affirmed on the other hand that the door is open for all political coalitions and parties to ally in order to form a government of political majority after the announcement of election results.
    Communicating with reporters through National Media Center website, Al Maliki stressed the necessity of coalitions in the formation of the next government.
    Iraqi Prime Minister underlined the importance of allying with Iraqi National Coalition or Kurdistan Alliance to build up the State.
