US Ambassador: Iraq will achieve the desired democracy

US ambassador to Baghdad, Douglas Silliman, said Thursday that the upcoming elections in Iraq will contribute to achieving the desired democracy, as he put it.
"The elections will help achieve the desired democracy," said Sileman, who is visiting Basra province at a news conference. "There will be a conferencefor the reconstruction of Iraq in Kuwait next month."
The governor of Basra, As'ad al-Eidani, received this morning, the US ambassador to Iraq, Douglas Seelman, and discussed with him economic relations.
The US ambassador to Iraq, Douglas Seelman, stressed on Wednesday that his country with the Iraqi elections on schedule, stressing the need to return the largest number of displaced people to their homes before the next election.
