Parliamentarians: Parliament's decision included 100% manual re-counting throughout Iraq

BAGHDAD / The parliamentary legal committee confirmed on Wednesday that the recent decision of the House of Representatives on the manual counting includes a 100% manual recount in all governorates of Iraq.

The member of the committee MP Mohsen al-Sadoun told "Iraq News", that "the decision to re-countthe hands of voters in the first reading of the Third Amendment Law to the parliamentary elections law was initially counted 25 percent of the votes, and was amended on the second reading and became a recount 100 percent for all votes.

He added that "the amendment of the manual counting of 100 percent was at the request of deputies and therefore voted by all members of parliament to produce all the votes of voters."
