After Iran cut 1,200 megawatts of debt because of Iraq, MP Mahmoud Sadeghi said Iran was in a critical period, forcing it to cut off energy permanently from Iraq.

Energy experts said that such a measure could affect power cuts across Iraq, leading to more than 12 hours of continuous interruption per day.
