Legal expert: Abadi government continues full powers despite the assignment of Abdul Mahdi

The legal expert, Tariq Harb, said Wednesday, 3/10/2018, that the current government headed by Haider Abadi, continues with full powers and does not consider the conduct of business, despite the assignment of Adel Abdul Mahdi, by President Barham Saleh.

"The current government, constitutionally and legally does notconsider the caretaker government, but a reality that should avoid signing treaties, contracts and important documents, as there is a president charged with forming a government," said a war in an exclusive interview (Baghdad today).

"The current government has to wait on a lot of issues and leave it to the next government."

He pointed out that "the task of the government of Abadi will end when the House of Representatives votes on the ministerial platform and cabinet cabinet, which will be formed by Adel Abdul Mahdi."

The President of the Republic elected by the House of Representatives, Barham Salih, on Tuesday (October 2, 2018), the former leader of the Supreme Council, Adel Abdul Mahdi, to form a new government .

The parliament elected Barham Saleh, the candidate of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, as president of the Republic of Iraq. Saleh received 219 votes in the second round of voting, while his rival, the Democratic Party, Fouad Hussein, won only 22 votes .
