The leader of the coalition, Ethel Nujaifi, warned on Monday, October 29, 2018, the new Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, the occurrence of major security collapse, due to mismanagement of the security ministries.
"We do not care about the administration of the ministry by proxyor by originality. What matters to us is how to manage the ministries and the results of the work, and we have no one to be the minister, especially with regard to the security ministries," Najafi told Baghdad Today.
He pointed out that "former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, when he ran the security ministries by proxy, caused a major security collapse, is Abdul Mahdi able to prevent such a collapse."
He stressed that "Abdul Mahdi must bear this responsibility, and should be held accountable if it fails, without any political compliments."
On Friday, Abdul-Mahdi announced his assumption of the duties of the defense and interior ministries.
A document on his assumption of the position of Acting Minister of the Interior issued on October 25, 2018, by Order No. 17, obtained a copy of which was "Baghdad Today", according to the provisions of Article 78 of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq. : Take over the functions of the Minister of the Interior Agency, pending the designation of Minister of the Interior, and implement this as of the date of issue.
