The Supreme Council for Combating Corruption, headed by Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, called on three MPs to present their evidence on corruption charges revealed by the media.
Three documents were issued by the Supreme Councilfor Combating Corruption, addressed to each of the deputies, Alia Nassif, Ali Al-Sjeri and Talal Al-Zobaie, requesting them to provide him with the information and details available on corruption in the Ministry of Defense, By political figures and officials in the government and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance], for the purpose of taking legal action against those found guilty.

The Council gave these deputies a period not exceeding 14 days to provide information against the accused.
