The independent deputy, on the authority of Basra Governorate, Amer Al-Fayez, on Saturday (30 May 2020), revealed the consultations being conducted by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi with political trust regarding the candidates for vacant ministries.

Al-Fayez said in a press statement, "Al-Kazimi's consultations with the political blocs led to an agreement in principle to nominate all candidates for vacant ministries except oil."

He added, "The next two days will see agreement on the last ministry."

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, and the Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, had stressed, on Thursday (28 May 2020), the need to expedite the completion of the ministerial cabinet by nominating competent personalities to assume the remaining positions.

The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received (Baghdad Today) that "President of the Republic Barham Salih received, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi."

The statement added, "The meeting, during which the necessity of expediting the completion of the ministerial cabinet was nominated, by nominating efficient and impartial personalities, and supporting the government in implementing its program that was voted upon by the parliament by preparing for early elections, and meeting the legitimate Iraqi demands to achieve the desired reform."

The statement pointed out that "the Presidents of the Republic and the Council of Ministers stressed the importance of Iraq adopting a balanced policy with its regional and international surroundings based on respect for Iraqi sovereignty," stressing that "the crises that the country is going through must be addressed and priority should be given to combating the Corona pandemic and supporting health agencies to fully perform their work."
