The Iraqi government called for intensifying efforts to remove Iraq from the list of high-risk countries in the area of ​​money laundering and terrorist financing.
This came during a meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Prague, Sundus Omar Ali, today, Tuesday, with Martin, the Czech Undersecretary for Security and Multilateral Affairs.
The Foreign Ministry stated, "The ways of joint cooperation in the security fields, and international and regional organizations were discussed."
He added, "It was also emphasized to support the request of the Iraqi government to remove the name of Iraq from the list of high-risk countries in the area of ​​money laundering and terrorist financing issued by the European Commission."
The ambassador called for "the importance of supporting Iraq in its war against terrorism, as well as providing assistance in the fight against the emerging Corona epidemic"
