    Foreign Ministry announced it has achieved success as part of its tireless efforts to end the restrictions imposed on Iraq under Security Council resolutions adopted under chapter VII related to disarmament, at a time when the government sent a letter to the Security Council to close the program file «Oil for Food».


    Foreign Ministry statement said that «In the light of letters sent by Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari in this regard to the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA, Yukiya Amano, who sent a letter last week to UN Secretary-General of the United Nations and member states of the Security Council, which confirmed that the agency has received excellent cooperation from Iraq in the implementation of its agreements under the comprehensive safeguards, which allowed the agency to do its activities effectively and efficiently, and Iraq pledged to the provisional implementation of the Additional Protocol pending its entry into force, is the latest example of this cooperation ».

    The statement added that« this letter came in the light of the efforts made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to end the restrictions imposed on Iraq since 1991 under Chapter VII, to return and occupy its international and consistent with its role in the international arena ».     For his part, the Russian ambassador for Moscow's support for the democratic experience in the country in advance congratulations of his government's successful general election.

    This is a very encouraging read. I especially like the part about how the security council will get a message by the end of the month. I also like seeing how Russia is acting with Iraq. They are totally being supportive according to recent articles and to me, that says alot.
