FIFA ends sanctions on Iraqi soccer

The International Football Association (FIFA) has decided to lift sanctions imposed on Iraqi soccer. Voice of Iraq news agency quoting a FIFA official reports that Iraqi soccer teams will now be allowed to participate in all tournaments.

The decision if FIFA has come following Iraq’s recent decision to suspend dissolution of its soccer federation reversing its earlier decision taken on 16 November 2009 to dissolve the nation’s soccer federation.
