A minister in the government of Abdul Mahdi is involved in the murder of his brother

BAGHDAD / A judicial source revealed Wednesday that one of the ministers in the government of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi is involved in the killing of his brother.

The source told "Iraq News" that "the minister is under criminal, because of the killing of his brother," pointing out that "the accountability and justice have all thepreliminary information about it." The source did not disclose the name of the minister, likely to "be announced in the media during the next two days."

The President of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halabousi, sent on 25 October last, a request to the accountability and justice to express a position on "candidates for portfolios in detail and accurate."

The spokesman for the Supreme National Commission for Accountability and Justice, Fares al-Baku, said last Monday that a meeting will be scheduled to determine the members of the Commission for scrutiny and the issuance of the appropriate decision of the ministers of the government of Abdul Mahdi.

Al-Bekaa said in a statement quoted by the semi-official Al-Sabah newspaper that he ruled out the existence of a specific date for the return of the book to the Presidency of the Council of Representatives, indicating the position of these ministers of accountability and justice.

Al-Bekaa said that these names were reviewed by the Directorate General of Information and the Legal Directorate and then the Registry of the Commission to determine the date of the meeting in which these files and documents that prove their position of those procedures will be presented.
