The head of the Bayraq al-Khair Parliamentary Bloc, Muhammad Othman Al-Khaldi, revealed, on Thursday (February 13, 2020), that the Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi will soon complete his cabinet.

Al-Khalidi said, in a press statement, that "the government cabinet of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi has been completed," noting that "Allawi will be officially announcednext Sunday."

Al-Khalidi said, "Allawi will inform the President of the Republic and the resigned Prime Minister and ask Parliament to hold an emergency session for the purpose of voting on the ministerial cabinet."

He pointed out, "There is pressure from some blocs, but they will not affect the passage of the ministerial cabinet within the parliament," noting that "the ministerial cabinet of the Prime Minister-designate is ready and will be announced next Sunday."

Earlier, the head of the Bairaq Al-Khair bloc, Muhammad Al-Khaldi, revealed two conditions set by the Prime Minister-designate, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, before the political blocs to choose his cabinet, indicating that he identified integrity and efficiency, as a prerequisite for choosing his ministers.

Al-Khalidi said, in a press statement, that "the Prime Minister-designate announced during his meetings with the blocs his refusal to participate in the political forces and parties in the selection of his cabinet," noting that "Allawi set two conditions in the selection of candidates himself for his cabinet, relying on integrity and competence."

Whereas, on Wednesday (12 February 2020), MP from the “Al-Hikma” movement, Hassan Al-Masoudi, set a condition for the movement to vote on the cabinet that will be presented by the Prime Minister in charge of forming the government, Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi.

Hassan al-Masoudi said, in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "our vote on the new ministerial cabinet depends on it being independent from partisanship and quotas, and fulfilling the aspirations of the Iraqi street and demonstrators."
