South Korean President Moon Jie said North Korea had expressed its desire for complete denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula, in return for the provision of international aid to the North economy because of the many restrictions and sanctions imposed on it.

Comprehensive agreements on normalizing relations between the two Koreas and the United States should not be difficultduring the North-South summits and between the North and the United States in order to curb Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs, Moon said in a press statement.

"The North has shown full readiness for nuclear disarmament. They have not set any conditions the United States can not accept, such as the withdrawal of US troops from South Korea. All they want is an end to hostile policies toward North Korea and security."

Moon said he saw a horizon for a peace deal or even international aid for the North if he disarmed. But he added that there were too many restrictions on the inter-Korean summit. The two countries could not make progress independently of the summit between the United States and North Korea. An agreement can be reached that goes beyond international sanctions.
