Trump yesterday sent an official invitation to the Senate to approve the appointment of Toller as the successor to Douglas Seleman, who took over the US Embassy in Baghdad in 2016.
Toller, who is fluent in Arabic, served as US ambassadorto Yemen since 2014 and previously served as US ambassador to Kuwait , And held high-level positions in the embassies of Washington in Cairo, Baghdad and Riyadh.
