CHICAGO (AP) Blackhawks wing Marian Hossa will miss the next few weeks with an upper body injury, a big blow for the defending Stanley Cup champions.

Hossa was injured in the second period of Wednesday's 3-1 victory over Los Angeles. Coach Joel Quenneville said during Thursday's practice that the injury is "not of serious nature" and he wasn't sure when exactly it happened.

Hossa, who has seven goals and four assists, missed the first 22 games last season following shoulder surgery.
