North Korea said it was still ready to hold talks "at any time and in any form," after US President Donald Trump canceled scheduled talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan described Trump's decision as "very regrettable."
Trump attributed his decision to cancel the meetingto "open hostility" on the part of North Korea.
The meeting would have been the first of its kind between a US president and a North Korean leader.
Details of the summit in Singapore were not clear, but the talks would focus on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
Hours before Trump canceled the meeting, Pyongyang said it had carried out its promise to dismantle the tunnels under the nuclear test site.
Trump's announcement came in a letter to Jong-un personally
