Tehran unites the exchange rate of its currency against the dollar

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian Vice President Yitzhak Jahangiri said on Tuesday that Tehran had limited the official exchange rate of the currency and its price on the open market.

"As of Tuesday, the price of the dollar will be 42,000 Tumans in both markets andfor all business activities," Jahangiri told an emergency cabinet meeting.

"As of Tuesday, the government will not recognize any exchange rate except the official price, and the exchange of the dollar at an informal price will be against the law," he said.

Iranian President Hassan Rowhani warned yesterday that Trump would "regret" if he withdrew from the nuclear deal and resumed US sanctions on Tehran.
