Saudi writer Turki Al-Hamad has sent a warning to his government about the grant to be sent to Iraq to build a $ 1 billion sports city.
"It is nice that the Kingdom is giving one billion dollars to Iraq, this is part of the policy of restoring Arab Iraq, but beware of handing overthe money directly to the Iraqi government," Hamad said in a tweet via Twitter.
According to Turki al-Hamad, giving the amount to the Iraqi government "may end up with Iranian hands, or be swallowed by the black hole of corruption."
