Bashir Haddad, a member of the Presidency of the House of Representatives, considered today, Thursday, that the Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi has a better chance than the previous commissioners, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, and Adnan Al-Zrafi to obtain his government’s confidence.
"We hope that the blockage in the political processin the country will end, and that the next federal government will be formed," Al-Haddad said in a statement to reporters today in Erbil.
He added, "Al-Kazemi has the acceptance of the Shiite, Kurdish and Sunni political forces and authorities," adding that "Al-Kazemi has a better chance than the previous commissioners, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, and Adnan Al-Zarfi on the issue of forming a government."
Al-Haddad added that "the former commissioners have not had the support of a part of the Shiite house since the beginning, unlike Al-Kazemi, because there is consensus on it."
The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, had today, Thursday, formally assigned the head of the National Intelligence Service, Mustafa al-Kazemi, to form the new government.
It is noteworthy that Adnan Al-Zarfi today announced his official apology for assigning him to form the government after the Shiite forces agreed to nominate Al-Kazemi instead.
