Abadi: This year will see a happy end in Iraq

Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi reiterated on Tuesday that the current year will witness a happy end in Iraq, while referring to the liberation of areas not reached by a military force since the era of the former regime.

"During the liberation of the land, the Iraqi forces were able toorganize, in the northern region, to liberate areas that no military force has reached since the time of Saddam," Abadi said during his weekly conference held at the government palace in central Baghdad.

"As we promised earlier, this year will see an urgent end in Iraq," he said.

It is noteworthy that the organization of a supporter suffered a great loss in Iraq, after losing 90% of the territory invaded in 2014, as left to the security forces only the judiciary of the existing and Rawa west of Anbar province.
