Turkey announces the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs at a meeting on Iraq in New York

BAGHDAD (Iba) .. he and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to the United States at the invitation of Vice President Joe Biden.

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry statement that Davutoglu went Monday evening to New York in the two-day visit during which he participates in high level meeting on Iraq organized by the UN Security Council in its current session, chaired by the United States of America.

The foreign ministry statement that the program includes a visit Davutoglu also held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the number of participants at the meeting on Iraq.

Turkey has a temporary member of the UN Security Council since January 2009 for a period of two years and also chaired the Council on 1 September 2010 until the end of the month.

It is scheduled to discuss the UN Security Council resolution on Iraq to derail the provisions of Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. (End)
