10-15-2012 Kaperoni This MP Mohammed Saadoun Chihod says they are for the deletion of zeros but not all at one time. In other words gradually - meaning float. He uses reasons again like the GOI said in the past like fear of corruption and fraud as reasons to not move forward. So what we are seeing here is exactly what we predicted. Postponement of the "over night" event, less problems in Iraq, fewer security challenges, etc. and a new course of action which will be a gradual rise in the value of dinar over time (which we have seen other MPs call for the CBI to begin). Then, when they feel it is appropriate, they will bring out an all new currency in Iraq, and officially announce "deletion of 3 zeros complete" which will enact the financial contractual law changing all accounting records. None of that applies to us as all we care about is the rise in value which appears to be about to begin. This is a good article for us...adds more confirmation to float, and it should start soon so they can achieve the goals of a 1 to $1 or higher by sometime middle of next year.
10-15-2012 Doc We anticipated Maliki would try something to stop the currency reform plans of Shabibi as we reported last week. We are seeing that response in the arrest warrant being issued against Shabibi. What we love is Shabibi's response saying he "will appear before the judiciary if there was an arrest warrant against him really no fear of justice as long as it is or the administration at the central bank did not fall short in their work." We take this Shabibi is not backing down from Maliki and we are more convinced Maliki was and continues to be the fly in the ointment.
10-15-2012 BWM I'm operating with a "theory" at the moment on timing... am I "expecting" to see something this month...certainly, I hope so... if it doesn't go this month could it go into 2013? certainly, I believe so (against my hopes) but I will be realistic...we have watched "deadline" after deadline come and go... so I look for it every day unless something tells me otherwise...when you hear me say, it's done, it may not be the first "call" you hear...but it will for certain DONE and I'm on the way to the bank when you hear it said.
10-15-2012 8Ball Article: "Urgent .. the issuance of an arrest warrant against Iraqi Central Bank Governor" The CBI may just about to do it's job and of course this is Iraq ...they don't like losing the control...CBI is a private company the only way they can stop them is to arrest him...this could also be just media entertainment...we'll see. The way to think of this if they are doing this its to block Shabibi from doing something...after the 2% giveback from Kuwait I think things maybe in full auto.
10-15-2012 Doc It was also just reported that Parliament would be adjourning until the 6th of November. A news source was quoted as "a coalition of state law pulled out of today's session, for failing to vote on the draft law of the Federal Court, which led to a breach of the quorum for the hearing and filed." With this we would not expect any movement on the HCl and therefore currency reform until after this date. We do expect deals to be continued to be struck under the table during this time. We report, you decide.
10-15-2012 BGG There is news today that Maliki walked out of Parliament because of the Infrastructure Law. He wanted it passed "as is" & they said they would fix it to where we all like it. He just has a terrible time sharing. He walked out to delay this a little longer. I don't think they can delay for very long. From now to the next 10 days, you will see the news get very frisky, exciting to watch. We are headed in the right direction for sure. I see a solution in the near future. This is all fantastic news.
10-15-2012 Blaino I HAVE NO CONCERNS RE: ANY POLITICALLY MOTIVATED MOVES AGAINST THE GOVENOR OF THE CENTRAL BANK IN IRAQ...NOW IT SEEMS THAT THE TRUTH IS OUT AND MALIKI IS THE ONE IN TROUBLE I SEE NO CONNECTION TO THE RV OR ANY TROUBLE FOR US...JUST MY OPINION...I WILL SAY THAT NOW IS THE TIME TO "BE PREPARED IN ALL RESPECTS" FOR THE ENDGAME. ACT ACCORDINGLY, ACT RATIONALLY! WE ARE INDEED CLOSING ON OUR target.
10-16-2012 BGG Article: "Shabibi reach Baghdad and initiate work at the Central Bank" This further confirms...Dr Shabibi got back to Baghdad and went directly to work NO PROBLEM. No arrest warrant, no drama, no foolishness. Hes got real work to do and real problems to solve. Mark my words Maliki had big trouble brewing for himself.
10-15-2012 Kaperoni The way I see it, there are two courses of actions. 1. sweep it under the rug and move forward. Which may not be so bad if it helps get the dinar value up soon. or.. 2. These political forces take notice and demand Maliki's removal. He won't leave on his own, and the US position is to do nothing. If you ever wondered how Maliki could build hotels, own newspapers, on his PM salary? Well it is clear with 4 corrupt officials working in and around the CBI, Maliki is getting his share. Which is exactly why he does not want Shabibi to change the currency and go international.
10-16-2012 Kaperoni A statement from the U.S. embassy in Baghdad yesterday that "Iraq's dependence on oil revenues entirely may display the development process of a diversified economy for the private sector at risk," noting that "the report of trade Tijara economic development regional Among its recommendations emphasizes the development of agriculture and industry in Iraq as both the two through which provide work for future generations in Iraq. " So what are they really saying here...? This is a very indirect direct way of saying you need to raise the value of your dinar.
10-16-2012 Med THERE WAS A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF QUALITY ARTICLES POSTED. ONE BY THE INTEGRITY COMMITTEE BEING UPSET THAT THEY ARE NOT BEING ALLOWED TO DO THEIR INVESTIGATIONS AND DETERMINE IF IRREGULARITIES ARE FOUND. YOU HAVE THESE AND I HATE TO EVEN USE THE NAME FROM THE STATE OF LAW GOING TO THE FEDERAL COURT WHICH WE ALL KNOW HAS BEEN IN THE POCKET OF MALIKI. THEN WE FIND OUT THAT MALIKI PROTECTED 3 BANK MANAGERS WHO SHABIBI WANTED DISMISSED MANY YRS AGO...THEN WE HAVE THE 530 TRILLION DINAR. YOU HAVE IT ONCE IN THE MEDIA ONCE, THIS IS NEWS BIG NEWS. BUT, I BET IF THEY SAID SHABIBI UNDERPAID FOR AN ITEM BY ACCIDENT HE WOULD BE ON DEATH ROW. THIS GUY AND HIS FOLLOWERS ARE SNAKES.
10-16-2012 Frank26 My broker got a call from his broker from the CBI & he told him that the Iraqi dinar went up in value, $46 per million. Then, an article stated that the IQD just went up in value. There is an urgency to raise the value of the Iraqi dinar. Trillions, upon trillion, upon trillions are being paid with Iraqi dinar out of the GOI & they don't have that many. The budget says it's 127 Trillion. That's either a fantasy, which they will never meet or a reality that we are about to be told.
10-16-2012 Phoenix3333 this is interesting... Article: "Spokesman: Iraq Cabinet Names Interim Central Bank Governor Iraq's" Cabinet on Tuesday named an interim replacement for the country's central bank chief, who was suspended amid an inquiry over currency manipulation, the premier's spokesman. "The cabinet decided to authorise Abdelbassit Turki, the head of the Board of Supreme Audit, to run the central bank indefinitely," Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's spokesman Ali Mussawi said, adding that Sinan al-Shabibi had been suspended from his post by the country's anti-corruption watchdog. The watchdog, known as the Integrity Commission, confirmed on Tuesday that it had opened an inquiry into the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) tied to alleged manipulation of the Iraqi dinar's value against the US dollar. "I can confirm that we received the Central Bank dossier from the integrity committee in parliament," said Hassan Aati, spokesman for the Integrity Commission. "It is currently under investigation.
10-16-2012 Administrator Bob Articles coming from Iraq appear to indicate Central Bank of Iraq, the Governor Sinan al-Shabibi has been removed from office. Al-Maliki's Council of Ministers has apparently appointed Abdul Basit Turki interim governor. This is significant as it relates to our investment.
