10-24-2012 Footforward The troops are there because they have moved around the lower denoms from location to location to keep them safe. They don't believe there is another secure place, so they brought in the troops to secure them & also the CBI & the borders. It has nothing to do with Maliki & they are not there to remove Shabibi. Maliki is not the bad guy. He is there to hold down the fort & get done what needed to be done, nothing more, nothing less. The arms deal with Russia is not what it looks like, I can't get into it, I know this for sure. He is not trying to take over the CBI. They have the means to get rid of Maliki, but they don't. Why? There must not be a problem with him.
10-24-2012 BGG Article: "Alfalh (Constitution): parliament embraces wanted to justice on charges of terrorism – al-Maliki has evidence, documents and confessions condemns political bloc leaders" Maliki must know the end is near – he’s now threatening some of the major bloc leaders with terrorism charges (like he did with the sham trial of Al-Hashemi). This will work out in the end. No matter what he thinks.
10-24-2012 Adam Montana Shabibi is still on the run, claims innocence, but the warrants are still in effect...just yesterday we received news that actual arrests were made in relation to this latest development on the bankers and CBI employees. Like I said last week - things are moving! We have an approved budget draft. There's a lot of noise about this... I don't think it's important or relevant. If they increase the value of the Dinar, they will adjust the budget accordingly, and that is true no matter how high the rate goes. A budget is just a guideline, it can be amended, and there's no way they would simply tell us (through the budget) that they plan to increase the value...so like I said, the budget really doesn't mean much. [post 1 of 2....stay tuned]
10-24-2012 ****** one person waiting to get paid, its that close...im hearing tomorrow night [Wednesday] for the...global settlement funds, not the rv.
10-24-2012 Footforward There's not a lot of new intel out there. What's going on in Iraq is of zero consequence to us. This thing will roll as the "powers that be" dictate it to roll, look at it from a global perspective. I believe it should happen this year. This should have happened several times already. The plan is to get it done before the election...but it could happen after the election out of necessity. I know the rate will be really good, double digits, multiples of 7. It will be a flat rate. I don't believe there will be multiple tier rates. You won't have to negotiate.
10-24-2012 Tlar {New Guru} What is happening in Iraq is the democratic awakeness. We will see the constitution mentioned more and more in articles and interviews. In the beginning...only a few really educated technocrats ever read what they wrote in total let alone any MP from any block. In Iraq people are just starting to see what is in their constitution. They are doing this because there is a constitutional crisis going on. The SOL and Maliki from the very beginning have used the constitution where it benefited them and trashed it, where it, when it stood in the way. MP's from all the blocks, the Kurds, Iraqiya and the Sadrists are feverishly for the first time seeing violations. Why? They are digging into their constitution as the proof source. [post 1 of 4....stay tuned]
10-24-2012 Poppy3 Minister of international trade in VN told banker there they were discussing the timing of the RV in VN to take place in the near future...further updates by Friday.
10-24-2012 Okie_OiL_Man I HAVE BEEN MONITORING OUR DINAR/DONG SAGA AND HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING CLOSELY FROM SOURCES WHAT IS TRANSPIRING. ALL THE ACTIONS BEING TAKEN IN IRAQ, WHILE IS OF HISTORIC VALUE, HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE C/E OR R/V. THEIR ARE MOVEMENT THAT IS POSITIVE BEING TAKEN IN THIS FIELD BUT IT SURE SEEM'S LIKE MURPHY'S LAW IS AT WORK. IT APPEAR'S THAT THERE ARE POLITICAL MOTIVES INVOLVED THAT HOPEFULLY WILL BE SET ASIDE SOON. I HAVE NO DEFINITIVE INTEL THAT I CAN FURNISH AT THIS TIME. I, LIKE YOU, WAIT AND WONDER WHY THE ENDLESS DELAY'S. IF AND WHEN PROVABLE INTEL CAN BE FURNISHED I WILL BE HAPPY TO ADDRESS THAT.
10-24-2012 Adam Montana two more good news items. 1. There was a huge agreement between Iraq and Kuwait on a very old dispute to the tune of BIG dollars. The fact that they are closing old issues is good for future progress. 2. Talks and agreements regarding the HCL continue to make news. They WILL get this settled - at this time it's in the "offer - counteroffer" stage, but it's in everyone's best interest to seal the deal.
10-24-2012 Tlar When this is over IMHO Iraq will become a democratic non secular government. Sadr has already made his mind up and has told Allawi...in Erbil if Allawi will allow some ministries to go to the Sadrists, he will support Allawi and Iraqiya in the next election. This is the crux of democracy. Back room deals where every party gets something of value achieved as the society moves forward. Iraq has bit of the forbidden fruit. For 10 years they have tasted democracy so now the real test comes. Will they stand up and stop this despot? Remember to become a complete dictator you eventually have to hold your population at gunpoint. As the ground swell moves forward Maliki will seem less sure of himself. The proof is he had to go back to the Judiciary and try to get thee warrants re-instated. Why? because it was determined that warrants coming from the Council of Ministers was - unconstitutional. With the international community intering the frey and with 13000 troops of ours in country Maliki will be afraid to use the security or military forces to put this ground swell down. We can see very quickly now as each article against Maliki comes out, he is loosing the battle of propaganda. I'd much rather be Shabibi than Maliki at this point. Shabibi has a stellar reputation and is a renowned technocrate that has built the CBI from scratch to a record 70 billion dollars. Malibaba [Maliki] has a record of theft and missing funds in every Ministry chaired by one of his goons from the SOL. The press is still running and Maliki has been unable to silence it. Look for more of the same this week. Also look for more defections from his camp as more people become aware of his blatant violations of the Iraqi constitution.
10-24-2012 Footforward I am expecting this to happen in this calendar year, actually I would be surprised if we get out of October. I look for this day to day. Everything is in place. I am told within a moments notice this can go.
10-24-2012 Tlar Shabibi said he will come back and face the judicial system in Iraq in a few days. He will bring the proof to clear his name with him. I'm sure he will also bring representatives of the international community to make sure he gets a fair trial. This trial will take place under an international microscope and it would not be suprizing to find that his lawyer is either an IMF lawyer or a UN lawyer. This ought to be an interesting week.
10-24-2012 Adam Montana He [Maliki] has stated many times that his goal is to see the value of the Dinar rise, and I think (depsite the many hiccups and roadblocks) that he has driven the country and the situation in the right direction. I believe he will finish the job, too.
10-24-2012 Footforward When all this came out about Shabibi, they still were able to pass the budget. You can't pass a budget if you don't have a rate. Well they have had a rate since 2010 & haven't released a budget because they don't have an RV.
