11-18-2012 Kaperoni Will there be a raise in value of the dinar? I totally believe their will or I would not spend the time researching and presenting information that I do. Do i think it will happen soon? Yes, I think Iraq must change the value of the dinar soon or risk economic and monetary uncertainty. Do I believe it will some day be worth more than $3 to 1 dinar? Yes, but not overnight. In my view, I believe the dinar will rise via a float over time. The time it would take to reach a value of 1 to $1 is subjective. Some say a few months, other 6 months or more. The other possible scenario still on the table is the “staging rate” at or about .86 - .90. We know this because there was heavy discussion in numerous articles throughout Iraq during 2012. Both of these are viable and realistic based on the conditions in Iraq.
11-18-2012 Intel/Newshound Guru Poppy3 THIS IS A good report. It is just pointing out what we have known for at least 24 months now. Things that still need to be done are done. It is happening and it is happening faster than ever in the past. things are turning in our favor. The DC group I mentioned are very confident...but they, at this point, said since the meeting that had been scheduled for the 14th of this month hasn’t taken place yet and they don’t think the RV can happen until someone of trust is at the helm of the CBI. This was key to stabilizing the CBI. It is Shabibi or someone else and no one there at this time is acceptable. Next there is another scenario that I have been told is very possible and is in play. I have the two sources...that have both brought this possibility to me. They think that the IMF / WORLD BANK Placed DR SHABIBI in charge of the CBI and that he still is still working in managing the CBI. He just isn’t in the country and will not return till the judiciary will hear his defense and also they provide him with documentation of the charges against him. WITH THIS scenario the RV could happen at anytime according to what has been accomplished behind the scenes that we are not privy to. My confidence is very high and I am more confident in our return on investment than ever before.

WE KNOW THEY ARE ADIMANT ABOUT INCREASING THE VALUE OF THE DINAR AGAINST THE USD AND THEY WANT IT MOVING LIKE NOW BUT I DO NOT THINK THIS IS THE RV. 11-18-2012 Adam Montana [The rate dropped FAST when Saddam was taken out. "Is there any...laws ... that state the rate cannot go back up just as fast?] The answer is NO! There is no law that restricts the speed at which the value of the currency can go up. Absolutely none.
11-19-2012 Breitling When these guys are picking names for a post...this tells me that Shabibi is out. I don't know where Shabibi is right now and it sucks that the bad guys win, but the government has to move on. They are already looking at a final list...that narrows down to 3 different candidates.This is all good for us...this is big...we need to watch this. They also are naming the different obligations Iraq has to fulfill to get out of Chapter 7. That is huge. This weekend was a very good weekend.
11-19-2012 Hammerman There are rumors, had 8 - 10 calls...the IQD has either or will in the near future of this week RV at 1 dinar to $1 or has or will RV at 13 IQD to $1 or last heard that it will RV at $1.07 to $ IQD between tonight [Sunday] and Tuesday. I have heard this from the right places, the right tents and the right positions. All news is extremely, extremely positive & I am still hearing it should RV before Dec. 1. I have always told you around the 17th or after. But, IMO, we have a 60% chance for before December 1, if not by Thanksgiving, I believe we will go into February...this is from 1 quality intel person.
11-19-2012 Tlar Maliki is going to submit the names of the replacement for the CBI which will then go to parliament for a vote. In the meantime I believe the bank acting in concert with the government is still on track to "remove the zeros" as stated by the finance committee. I don't think that Shabibi being gone will change much. We all know he was a good guy who got screwed but there is no reason at this point to see this other than a change in personnel. 11-19-2012 Med THE NEWS IS EXTREMELY PROMISING. IT SEEMS THAT ANOTHER INVESTIGATION SHOWS THAT DRAFTS WERE SIGNED BY MALIKI AGAINST THE CENTRAL BANK FOR PAYMENTS TO MEMBERS OF THE DAWA PARTY. THEY SEEM TO HAVE HAD THEIR HANDS IN ALMOST EVERY CORRUPT ACT IMAGINABLE. I BELIEVE THIS IS WHY SHABIBI WAS TARGETED ALSO ONE OF THE REASONS SHABIBI WAS NO IDIOT AND HE, I BELIEVE, KNEW EVERY DIRTY DETAIL OF WHAT WAS GOING ON.

They should sit up and take notice. He’s saying the CBI has to regain it’s independence as soon as possible. That would be better for everyone.

11-19-2012 Mountainman Maliki met with Kobler [a representative of the secretary-general of the United Nations] and discussed Chapter 7 removal again today. Kobler said he supports it. We are very close to seeing Iraq released out of Chapter 7 IMO. The final requirement for their release may be raising the value of their currency. Time will tell.
11-19-2012 LoriC The Economic Commission announced that a meeting very soon with the CoR will vote on the investment law after they made some key amendments to it... This is a good sign they are moving forward with this. It's been in the works a long time. Also, tomorrow's agenda in Parliament includes the second reading of the budget bill the Federal Republic of Iraq for the fiscal year 2013.

It also appears that at least at present the bank is trying to work with the IMF and the IMF looks as though they are working with bank. There are many advantages IMO not to fight for Shabibi by anyone. Ignore and go from here seems to be the direction. Shabibi cannot fight the government if he is not in Iraq. News articles of his complaints and accusations have all but subsided.
