House of Representatives vote on the draft legal cancellation of a contract Ahdab and modify the oil agreement with Turkey

House of Representatives voted in its regular-fifth session, held under the chairmanship of Mr. Osama al-Chairman of the Board of Deputies today Sunday, 27/03/2011 to draft a legal abolition of law on ratification of a contract to develop and produce the Ahdab oil field and the ratification of the Republic of Iraq to amend the Convention on the pipeline, crude oil, signed on 27 – 8-1973 between the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Turkey.

In response to the interventions, MP Adnan al-Janabi, the Chairman of the Commission on oil and energy that all laws will focus on the domestic investment and to be the regions and governorates rights to build new refineries with the consent of the Ministry of Oil, referring to the time period of 50 years granted to the projects by investors anymore.
